History Overview 1983-2009
Greys Green Golf Course is still often called The Dog Golf Course, as it all started in Dog Field on Greys Green Farm, way back in 1992
From arable prairie to golf and woodland 1983 - 2009
The story of how Hoods Links and Hoods Woods developed at Greys Green Farm out of 400 acres of arable prairie - despite the concerted efforts of Rotherfield Greys, Rotherfield Peppard and South Oxfordshire District Council - will unfold in this section
The golf history will stir some (fond, we hope) memories of the early days among those of you who played our simple Par 3 nine holes in 1992
Many of you walked the footpaths through the endless corn and ploughed fields in the 80's and have seen the woodland and public access develop since then - we hope that your walks are more extensive and more enjoyable now

This was Greys Green Farm in 1983 - wall to wall arable and precious little for wildlife
